Thx everyone for responding! As Yves and Rob has mentioned Email, Flickr, Digg and Delicious are also fantastic platforms for exposure online.

In order to keep it short and sweet, I only covered the more prominent players. I wish I could have mentioned many of the other more focused growing platforms like Meetup.com, StumbleUpon, scribd, SlideShare, etc.

You definitely hit the most important platforms. I would add Flickr for those who can tell their story via still images. Voting/bookmarketing platforms like Digg, Delicious and Reddit can further amplify your message.

Great post, I'd only add email marketing to that mix. Sign up to an Email Service Provider (ESP, not to be confused with an Internet Service Provider that give you your email address) like VerticalResponse, and gently send high value emails to your list. Make sure the content is valuable (webinar invites, whitepapers, case studies, offers), and don't abuse it by sending them one a week.
